Unmade Movies: Hammer's Zeppelin Vs. Pterodactyles

Some movies just don’t even get pass the development stage. Case in point, Hammer Films’ unmade Zeppelin vs. Pterodactyles (1971?)

Hammer's ZVP
ZVP started out from Hammer’s James & Michael Carreras’ brainstorming sessions on what they think movie audiences wanted to watch. Then they would have the art department do up a poster as a sort of promo piece to show potential distributors asking if they would like to see a movie about so-and-so. If Hammer had a lot of positive respond, then they would go into post-production.
This movie would’ve told the story of a German Zeppelin blown off course during a WW2 bombing raid and ending up on a “mysterious continent” were they would be under attack by flying pterodactyls.
This sounded like a really cool idea. Just imagine German flyers having aerial dogfights with pterodactyls.
I could’ve seen Hammer producing this movie, having released a series of sexy 'cave girl'-themed films like:

One Million Years B.C. (1966), starring the iconic furred bikini wearing Raquel Welch.

Sexy Martine Bestwick
Slave Girls (1968, released in the US as Prehistoric Women) with former Bond Girl Martine Bestwick

Sexy Victoria Vetri
When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970) with 1968 Playmate of the year Victoria Vetri

Sexy Julie Ege
Creatures the World Forgot (1971) with Miss Norway & Penthouse Pet Julie Ege

Sexy Dana Gillespie
And 1968 sci-fi fantasy movie The Lost Continent based on Dennis Wheatley's 1938 novel Uncharted Seas & starring Dana Gillespie.

Ray Harryhausen
Stop motion animation master Ray Harryhausen would’ve been the only one in my mind to handle the special F/X, having worked for Hammer on One Million B.C.

Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee
Starring in this Hammer Film should’ve been Hammer’s Dynamic Duo of Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing, and of course a few of Hammer’s famous “Glamour Girls” to add that sex appeal factor.
Kate O'Mara, Maddy Smith, & Pipa Steele

I sure would've seen this movie.
Hey Hollywood if you're reading this, get on it!
