Speculations is that the film will gross $150 Million it's opening weekend in North America.
Warner Bros. is in full swing promoting the movie at press junkets, having the cast be interviewed.

Many of the questions being ask is will Bell Affleck reprise his role of Batman in director Matt Reeves planned film titled "THE BATMAN"?

Warner Bros. originally announced back in October 2014 that Affleck was to not only to star, but also write, produce & direct the project. But by January 2017 Warner Bros. & Affleck could agree on the script causing Affleck to step down as director, but still remaining as producer & lead actor.

By February 2017 Warner Bros. announced that director of DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2014) & WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (2017) Matt Reeves who step-in as director & co-producer.

Reeves stated by June 2017 that his film would focus more on the detective side of Batman, having more of a film noir Alfred Hitchcock influence. By July 2017 Reeves dropped the Affleck script completely to focus more on his own vision.

Rumours around Hollywood was that Affleck was out of THE BATMAN, with Warner Bros. not wanting to make the announcement until 2 weeks after JUSTICE LEAGUE was in theatres, so not to hurt box office.

Warner Bros. & Reeves began secretly meeting with a number of actors for the part of the Dark Knight Detective.

One such meeting was with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. This wouldn't have been the first time Jake Gyyyenhaal's name was floated around as the Caped Crusader. Christopher Nolan auditioned him for BATMAN BEGINS (2005) before deciding on Christian Bale.

So far both Warner Bros. & Jake Gyllenhaal's people have had no comment on the rumour.

Comic Book Movie Ramblings: The New Batman Costume is Awesome!

The New Batmobile
On May 12, 2014 the director of the upcoming untitled MAN OF STEEL sequel, Zack Snyder tweeted on his Twitter account, ''Could be the time to pull the tarp...Tomorrow?'', where he posted a picture of the new Batmobile half cover up. This peaked people's interest in what the uncovered Batmobile would look like the following day.

Everyone was pleasantly surprised when they not only saw the new Batmobile, but actor Ben Affleck dressed in the new BATMAN costume !

Ben Affleck is The BATMAN
Snyder's tweeted the following caption ''I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom''.

Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns
& he costume has a definite FRANK MILLER 'S DARK KNIGHTRETURNS feel to it as writer-director Kevin Smith talk bout it on his podcast after Snyder show he a picture of the suit after a MAN OF STEEL blueray event Smith was hosting.

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith said '' I saw THE BATMAN costume ...More than that, I saw a picture of  Ben Affleck in the costume...Now, I don't want to give anything away 'cause that's up to 'Them' & stuff...but I am going to say this, I instantly bear-hugged Snyder. You havn't seen this costume in a movie on film before and for a comic book fan, it was mind-bending. I was like, 'Get the fuck out of here. Only you have enough power pull this off, Man!' Because everyone always like does this fucking Matrixy kind of X-Men black armor thing...there wasn't a single nipple on this fucking suit, man. It was fantastic. I'm telling everyone is gonna be like 'Holy Shit!' It's its own thing, man. It's like we haven't been down this path at all''.
Affleck is just huge in the costume. The Batcowl has noticeable shorter ears & Batsymbol on his chest is much large than any others filmed.
Ben Affleck is just huge in the costume, the working out is paying off. He looks like a BATMAN you don't want to fuck with in a dark alley. The Batcowl has noticeable shorter ears that was found in Frank Miller's graphic novel, as well as the much larger Bat symbol which I like. Reminds me of the SUPERMAN shield symbol. On his waste a much larger utility belt aswell. It looks like you can actually hold stuff in there.

Batmobile 1989

The Batmobile appears to be across between the Tumbler from Nolan's Batman triology & Tim Burton's 1989 version.

Since it was announced that Warner Bros. had cast Ben Affleck as Batman in August 2013, the ''SUPERMAN VS. BATMAN'' movie (the unofficial name) has been surround by some controversial casting choices.

Gal Gadot
In January 2014 Warner Bros. revealed that former Israeli fashion model turned actress Gal Gadot (who played Gisele Harabs in the popular THE FAST & THE FURIOUS series) beat out French actresses Elodie Yung (who appeared as the female ninja Jinx in 2013's GI JOE: RETALIATION)

Jinx vs Snake Eyes in GI Joe Retaliation

Elodie Yung
Olga Kurylenko
& Olga Kurylenko (who played a Bondgirl in 2008's QUANTUM OF SOLACE) for the role of WONDER WOMAN !

Gina Carano
Many fans had hope that Gadot's THE FAST & THE FURIOUS 6 co-star MMA fighter turned actress Gina Carano would have gotten the part.

Alast it was not to be, but as a consolation prize Carano is in talks to play another superheroine, Rob Liefeld's AVENGELINE, a fallen angel who is sent to Earth to find & protect 'the One', a person who holds the key to saving Mankind from Demons & Monsters.

Cathy Christian as Avengeline
The character was originally model after former VAMPIRELLA model Cathy Christian in 1995, as apart of the big 'Bad Girl' craze that was popular in thw 1990s.

Snyder & company were looking for an actress with an exotic look & voice for the Amazon Warrior Princess & feel that Gadot fits their image of what they are looking for. Many fans feel that Gadot is just to skinny to play the role of an ass-kicking superheroine.

Gadot Training
But Gadot promises that she will train hard to create that superhero image fans except. Godot did serve in the Israeli Army, so kicking ass isn't new to her. For me it's her acting ability I worry about. Her past roles didn't give her any real challenge to show her acting range, coming off as 'wooden'. She must of really knock out of the park at the audition for Snyder, cause Yung & Kurylenko are pretty good actresses with more credits to their names.

It will be interesting to see how Zack Snyder & Warner Bros. decide to reveal Gal Gadot as the new WONDER WOMAN? How will the costume look?

Joss Wedon's designs
Maybe they'll take a page out of director Joss Wedon's playbook, who once was attached to a WONDER WOMAN film.
Joss Wedon's designs
Kimberly Kane as Wonder Woman
Or maybe from VIVID ENTERTAINMENT's 2013's MAN OF STEEL XXX porn parody starring Adult Movie Actress Kimberly Kane as WONDER WOMAN.

Adrianne Palacki as Wonder Woman
I didn't care for the outfit they created for the failed 2011 NBC pilot by producer David E. Kelley starring actress Adrianne Palacki.

I found this fan made picture of Gina Carano as WONDER WOMAN that looked real cool.

Wonder Woman Costume concept
Here's an interesting costume concept I found. Adds alittle of the Greek Mythology background Wonder Woman had in her creation.

Jesse Eisenberg
But there were other oddball choices Warner Bros. made like the casting of actor Jesse Eisenberg as LEX LUTHOR. I must admit I loved him in 2010's SOCIAL NETWORK, but I don't see him as a menacing threat to SUPERMAN.

Bryan Cranston
I Perfered AMC's BREAKING BAD actor Bryan Cranston in the role instead like many others. Now he's Meancing. But like Gadot, I'm willing to give him a chance until I see the 1st trailer to get an idea how the charcter will be.

Jeremy Irons
While the casting of British actor Jeremy Irons as BATMAN's butler ALFRED PENNYWORTH I was happy about. He gives that type of class only a British actor can give.

Can't wait of more SUPERMAN VS BATMAN news.

It has been confirmed by both the Hollywood Reporter & Variety that Oscar Winning Actor Ben Affleck will join Actor Henry Cavill in Warner Bros. planned 2015 Man of Steel sequel as the New Batman.
Much like the Man of Steel movie, this casting has become controversial with people supporting it or just hating it all over the Internet.

Speculation started at this Summers San Diego Comic Con when Man of Steel director Zack Synder teased everyone when he showed up with actor Harry Lennix, who read just one passage.

~ "I want you to remember Clark. In all the years to come, in all your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you".

For those who recognised it admittedly started to talk, for it was from Frank Miller's classic 1986 graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns.

Then the Whole Room Went Ape Shit when the screen behind them flash the now familiar logo. With just that one reveal, DC Comics & Warner Bros. stole the Whole Fucking show at Comic Con.

People where now talking about Who will be Batman? Rumours of Warner Bros. offering actor Christian Bale a huge amount of money to return as the Cape Crusader. Names like Josh Brolin, Joe Manganiello, Ryan Gosling, Richard Armitage, Max Martini, & Matthew Goode were reported to be on Warner Bros. "shortlist". Ideas of casting a much older actor to play Batman, around 40 were coming out Warner Bros., matching more the Frank Miller feel for the superhero.

Even though Affleck's name wasn't in the mix original, rumours were about that Warner Bros. did have talks about him directing a Justice League movie. Could the seeds have been planted then for him to done the cowl?

Affleck is no strange to comic book movies. He has had a long term friendship with writer-director Kevin Smith, who is a Fanboy favourite, working in such  films as Mallrats, Dogma, & Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, all had some comic book elements in it.

He starred in 2003's Daredevil movie, which got mixed reviews by fanboys. But do yourself a favour a watch the "Director's Cut" version, it's a much better movie and could be a glimpse on how Affleck could played the role.

He also appeared on screen as Superman. Well OK, he played George Reeves, the actor who played Superman in the 1950s, in 2006 Crime / Bio-pic Hollywoodland.

Warner Bros. president of Creative development & Worldwide production Greg Silverman was quote saying ~ "We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular superheroes. & Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, & then some. His outstanding career is a testament to his talent, & we know he & Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character".

Director Zack Synder added ~ "Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Herny's Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older & wiser than Clark Kent & bears the scars of a seasoned crimefighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can't wait to work with him".

Details of Affleck's deal are not know at present, but I speculate that it's a multi-picture deal worth millions, as Affleck's next movie, Live By Night will also be released by Warner Bros.

The Script for the Untitled Superhero film will once again be written by David S. Goyer & Zack Synder with production starting in 2014 with a July 17, 2015 release date set. So starts the countdown.
