I am a big fan of BIOWARE’s DRAGON AGE series and not to long
ago they announced that they will release the 2nd DLC (Downloadable
Content) for DRAGON AGE 2 titled MARK OF THE ASSASSIN on October 11, 2011 .
In it our character HAWKE (be it male of female) is joined
by a new party member, a sexy female elf assassin named TALLIS, who comes complete with
her own unique combat style, like the ability to throw daggers, and what BIOWARE is saying "an intriguing back story".
Our mission is to steal an ancient relic called "the Heart of
the Many" from the estate of an Orlesian Baron outside of Kirkwall. Along the way we’re excepted to find an array
of new weapons & equipment to use, battle new enemies, and what I’m looking
forward to is a look at the Orlesian culture in the world of DRAGON AGE.
The character of TALLIS in DRAGON AGE 2: MARK OF THE
ASSASSIN will be voiced one of my favorite actress FELICIA DAY. BIOWARE also
scanned DAY’s vary likeness for the character.

DAY is best known today for her popular web series THE GUILD
(2007- Present), where she’s the star, the writer, & the producer, and can be seen
on YOUTUBE, XBOX LIVE, MSN VIDEO, & ZUNE.
DAY has also played the would-be slayer “Vi” on the BUFFY
THE VAMPIRE SLAYER TV series, and the role of “Penny” on the surprise Internet
musical hit by BUFFY creator JOSS WHEDON in 2008 called DR. HORRIBLE’S
SING-ALONG BLOG.
BIOWARE was well aware of DAY being a passionate gamer in
life approached her to do a 6-part web series for their DRAGON AGE franchise in January
2011 titled DRAGON AGE: REDEMPTION, where originally the character of TALLIS
came from. The plot centers around TALLIS being hired to capture a renegade
mage and the web series is set to air
the same date as the DLC release in a sort of cross promotion. My hope is that BIOWARE will announce a big budget DRAGON AGE movie sometime in the future.
DRAGON AGE: REDEMPTION is not the 1st official DRAGON AGE spin-off to be announced by BIOWARE, way back in June 2010 they announced animated movie co-produced with anime studio FUNIMATION titled DRAGON AGE: DAWN OF THE SEEKER for 2012. I can't wait for that one also.
Although I don't consider DRAGON AGE 2 better than the original, DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS, I'm still looking forward for both the DLC and web series. BIOWARE hasn't yet disappointed me on any of their games.
I'm looking forward to their future releases such as the much anticipated MASS EFFECT 3 and DRAGON AGE 3.
