BEN AFFLECK IS THE FUCKING BATMAN!

It has been confirmed by both the Hollywood Reporter & Variety that Oscar Winning Actor Ben Affleck will join Actor Henry Cavill in Warner Bros. planned 2015 Man of Steel sequel as the New Batman.
Much like the Man of Steel movie, this casting has become controversial with people supporting it or just hating it all over the Internet.

Speculation started at this Summers San Diego Comic Con when Man of Steel director Zack Synder teased everyone when he showed up with actor Harry Lennix, who read just one passage.

~ "I want you to remember Clark. In all the years to come, in all your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you".

For those who recognised it admittedly started to talk, for it was from Frank Miller's classic 1986 graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns.

Then the Whole Room Went Ape Shit when the screen behind them flash the now familiar logo. With just that one reveal, DC Comics & Warner Bros. stole the Whole Fucking show at Comic Con.

People where now talking about Who will be Batman? Rumours of Warner Bros. offering actor Christian Bale a huge amount of money to return as the Cape Crusader. Names like Josh Brolin, Joe Manganiello, Ryan Gosling, Richard Armitage, Max Martini, & Matthew Goode were reported to be on Warner Bros. "shortlist". Ideas of casting a much older actor to play Batman, around 40 were coming out Warner Bros., matching more the Frank Miller feel for the superhero.

Even though Affleck's name wasn't in the mix original, rumours were about that Warner Bros. did have talks about him directing a Justice League movie. Could the seeds have been planted then for him to done the cowl?

Affleck is no strange to comic book movies. He has had a long term friendship with writer-director Kevin Smith, who is a Fanboy favourite, working in such  films as Mallrats, Dogma, & Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, all had some comic book elements in it.

He starred in 2003's Daredevil movie, which got mixed reviews by fanboys. But do yourself a favour a watch the "Director's Cut" version, it's a much better movie and could be a glimpse on how Affleck could played the role.

He also appeared on screen as Superman. Well OK, he played George Reeves, the actor who played Superman in the 1950s, in 2006 Crime / Bio-pic Hollywoodland.

Warner Bros. president of Creative development & Worldwide production Greg Silverman was quote saying ~ "We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular superheroes. & Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, & then some. His outstanding career is a testament to his talent, & we know he & Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character".

Director Zack Synder added ~ "Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Herny's Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older & wiser than Clark Kent & bears the scars of a seasoned crimefighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can't wait to work with him".

Details of Affleck's deal are not know at present, but I speculate that it's a multi-picture deal worth millions, as Affleck's next movie, Live By Night will also be released by Warner Bros.

The Script for the Untitled Superhero film will once again be written by David S. Goyer & Zack Synder with production starting in 2014 with a July 17, 2015 release date set. So starts the countdown.

Movie Ramblings: Warner Bros.Teases With New Superhero Movie Pictures

This Week  WARNER BROS. teased Fanboys by releasing pictures from 2 of their up-in-coming Superhero films for 2012, ZACK SNYDER's THE MAN OF STEEL & CHRISTOPHER NOLAN's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

1st shows British actor HENRY CAVILL as SUPERMAN in THE MAN OF STEEL.

Henry Cavill is the Man of Steel

I must say that's what I call a SUPERMAN! Now this SUPERMAN looks like he could kick some serious ass if he wanted too.

No offence to BRYAN SINGER & BRANDON ROUTH, I felt their version in SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006) was way to wimpy-EMO for me as a fan, & I hated the "super-speedo" shorts.

THE MAN OF STEEL is set for a June 2013 release & CAVILL can be seen this November (11/11/11) in director TARSEM SINGH's IMMORTALS as Greek hero THESEUS.

2nd is an official picture from the set of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES of actress ANNE HATHAWAY as sexy cat-burglar SELINA KYLE (aka, CATWOMAN) ridding off on a stolen Bat-pod.

HATHAWAY's outfit was so tight that she had numerous "wardrobe malfunctions" on set while doing intense action scenes that were call for her character. Geeze, why couldn't WARNER BROS. release thoughs photos?

But I must say that this outfit looks way better than poor HALLE BERRY's pole-dancing stripper outfit in that awful 2004 CATWOMAN movie. But on the plus side, I did love HALLE BERRY's cleavage.

Still, my favorite is the sexy MICHELLE PFEIFFER's skin-tight vinyl outfit from TIM BURTON's BATMAN RETURNS (1992).

But I do still have fond childhood memories of watching reruns of classic 1960s BATMAN TV series with JULIE NEWMAR as CATWOMAN.
